Merck Sigma
Advised communication manager and developed corporate materials to help frame company-wide quality improvement program for Merck’s worldwide operation.

The Solebury Club / First Friday Doylestown / Alzheimer’s Association
Developed and promoted special event and local health club. Secured repeated coverage in every local media -- as well as through the AP nationally -- raising awareness and funds for the non-profit and increasing the sponsoring company’s profile in the community and business.

NOF Media Kit
Managed the National Osteoporosis Foundation’s public service campaign with Peggy Fleming. Developed and managed Strong Women: Inside and Out, one of the nation’s largest women’s health coalitions with 108 organizations and 32.5 million Americans. It supported osteoporosis education and legislation, resulting in Congress’ enacting bone scan legislation.

Merck Company Foundation
Reported on and managed publicity campaign for Merck’s major philanthropic endeavor, the donation of a drug to prevent blindness, in Chad, Africa.

Fosamax Media Kit
Developed and managed public affair plans and media support for Merck’s osteoporosis drug within budget and on time, securing 943 million media impressions.

Merck World
Re-engineered and edited award-winning Merck World (8- to 16-page monthly broadsheet) and The Daily (up to three editions of 2- to 4-page daily newsletter) to inform Merck’s 45,000 employees worldwide. Established and managed an international network of employee communicators. Planned, developed and implemented multi-media communications to support major corporate initiatives, such as Merck’s name and logo change.

Trade Pubs
Launched 100-page national trade magazine (first issue in two months), which increased frequency twice in two years. Developed and managed two monthly magazines, from concept to distribution, winning national and local awards for editorial excellence. Created and moderated symposia for readers and advertisers. Frequently invited to address industry.
